Summer Sprint 2023

Freedom Academy's Summer Sprint 2023 aims to provide a jam-packed and fun-filled experience for kids and teens (ages 5-18) by providing multiple offerings by seasoned instructors. It will run from May 29 - June 30, 2023.


Enroll in any one offering for only PHP7,000 (11 sessions including rehearsals + recital/final performance/exhibit). Enroll in 2 offerings for only PHP13,000 (PHP1,000 off).


OR pay only PHP15,000 and your child can join ALL the offerings (at least PHP28,000 in value). You can drop your child off in the morning and pick them up in the afternoon.


Get an additional PHP1,000 OFF for EARLY BIRD registration (register and pay on or before May 1, 2023).

More information on the specific offerings below:


MUSIC

Mon/Fri (9am-11am)

The music program will allow the kids to explore and learn one instrument of their choice from the following:

  • piano/keyboard

  • electric drums

  • guitar

  • voice

The recital will feature the kids playing/singing together as a band.


Instructors: Nemuel Danuco, Leony Jay Diaz, Mark Sanchez - Nemuel is an award winning composer/conductor/chorale director. Nemuel lives and breathes music and is a passionate teacher who can expertly handle both kids and adults of any level. Leony is a professional teacher and founder of Prophets of Fire School of Music and Arts. Mark is a teacher at Zion Praise Music Inc. as well as the founder of Mark Music Tutorial (MMT).


DANCE

Mon/Fri (1pm-3pm)

The dance program will explore choreographies from 4 different genres (wacking, femme, hiphop, afro) and will culminate in an activity that will synthesize all of them.


Instructor: Tanya Jane Amante - competitive dancer/choreographer. Tanya has been dancing ever since she was 13 years old. She has joined local dance groups such as Eminent and Lizz Dance Crew. She was part of the group that won the World Supremacy Battleground in 2018 and also competed in Hiphop International Philippines 2019.


COOKING

Tue/Thu (9am-11am)

The cooking program aims to introduce the basics of cooking and baking like measuring, mixing, and following instructions. Students will learn to cook and prepare common favorites such as pizza, pasta, cookies, traditional viands, etc.


Instructors: Henry Sanz & Rocky Roldan - Henry has trained in Singapore and is the former head chef of Runway Restobar and Business Class as well as the former F&B Supervisor of Eden Mountain Resort. Rocky is one of Freedom Academy's full-time facilitators and is passionate about delivering great tasting home-cooked meals.


ART

Tue/Thu (1pm-3pm)

Our art program aims to focus on and draw out the students' inner creativity instead of simply following patterns and copying styles. This is definitely not your typical art workshop.


Instructor: Victor Augustus Dumaguing - Vic is the founder of Sining Mata Visual Arts and Music School in Tagum, Davao del Norte (established in 2006), and a former lecturer at the Philippine Science High School and the Fine Arts program of the University of Mindanao. He was a three-time Top 5 regional Finalist at the Philippine Art Awards (2018, 2019, 2021) and was a Finalist in the GSIS Art Competition (2020). He is currently the Administrator for Mindanao Art, as well as an Art Mentor for the Lunang Mentoring Program alongside renowned artists Kublai Millan and Jeff Bangot.


PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT & PUBLIC SPEAKING

Wed (9am-11am/1pm-3pm)

This program aims to help students know themselves better, assess their own strengths and weaknesses, and verbally express themselves. They will be equipped with tools and knowledge to help them refine these skills more even after the program.


Instructors: Angelica Belen Puno & Andy Uyboco - Belen is a full-time facitator at Freedom Academy and had many years of experience as a teacher at a developmental school. Andy is the founder of Freedom Academy and is an experienced teacher at the high school and college levels. He has been a Toastmaster for over 20 years.


SPORTS

(Daily 3PM-430PM)

Students can choose to enroll in either Table Tennis, Basketball or Self-Defense. The lessons will feature basic drills as well as actual games/exercises for application of the skills learned. Depending on the group mix, instructors may split the class into basic and advanced levels after the first week.


Instructors: Almeyrick Bangayan (Table Tennis) / Bep Bernardo (Basketball) / Kwin Ortega (Self-Defense) - Almeyrick is a professional Table Tennis coach and a licensed Table Tennis umpire. Bep is a former basketball varsity player and loves teaching kids. Kwin is an instructor at Bagani Martial Arts and is skilled at ITF Taekwondo and Filipino Martial Arts (FMA).
